Thing to Do
Voyageurs' Tilson Connector Trail
This trail was updated in 2019 to include 400-feet of level dry terrain, through the boreal forest, and bypasses an existing wetland – making the trail accessible year-round. Once sufficient snowfall accumulates, the trail will continue be groomed for classic, cross country skiing.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources manages a ten mile network of interconnected ski trails named the Tilson Bay Trails. Several routes are possible, ranging from short loops to longer excursions. You can access this system from the Rainy Lake Visitor Center area on the park's Tilson Connector Trail.
