Short Loop: Stone Family Cemetery
The short loop to the Stone Family Cemetery is one segment of the larger nature trail system. This trail leads to the burial site of Thomas Stone, signer of the Declaration of Independence, and his family. It is a 1/2 mile, easy, round trip stroll.

The trail starts at the rear entrance to the park Visitor Center and covers approximately 400 yards one way to the Stone Family Cemetery where Thoas Stone, his wife, Margaret, and seven other Stone family members were interred from 1787-1913. Four small markers outside the fenced area mark the outline of a potential second cemetery although further research needs to be conducted.

Thomas Stone National Historic Site:
- Parking: one accessible space at the Visitor Center and one at the Mansion
- Visitor Center Entrance: Front and side doors to Visitor Center open outwards. A button can be pushed to automatically open or it can be manually opened.
- Nature Trail System: A variety of surfaces are on different trails. Surfaces consist of boardwalk, loose gravel, grass, and dirt. The trail segment from the Visitor Center to the Stone Family Cemetery is the most accessible trail.
- Restrooms: Men's and Women's both wheelchair accessible.
