Thing to Do
Stop by Boston Mill Visitor Center
Start your visit at Boston Mill Visitor Center. Park staff and volunteers will greet you and be available to help with trip planning. Explore the visitor center exhibits and store at your own pace. The downstairs provides a park overview for those with limited time. Exhibits upstairs explore our stories and allow people to share their own in our Community Room.
Pick up a Cuyahoga Valley Park Brochure that includes a driving map, a seasonal Valley Guide newspaper, and trail maps. We also have a free Junior Ranger Handbook (recommended for ages 7 and older) and free Junior Ranger, Jr. Activity Cards (recommended for ages 3-6). To learn more, visit our Junior Ranger page.
National Park Service passports and other souvenirs are available for purchase. If you already have a passport, remember to get your cancellation stamps before you leave.
This historic building was once the 1905 general store for the Cleveland-Akron Bag Company. After a decade of planning, Boston Mill Visitor Center opened to the public in fall 2019. Learn more on our website.
When you are done inside, stroll through the village of Boston to see our outdoor exhibits, get a snack at Trail Mix, or explore the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.
Service animals are welcome! Leashed pets are permitted on park trails, but not in park buildings. Plan ahead for a park visit with a pet. Visit our pets page for more information.
Entrance to Cuyahoga Valley National Park is free. Visit our Fees & Passes page for more information.
No reservations needed during the hours of operations. |
Hours vary by season. Check our hours page to plan your visit.
Boston Mill Visitor Center is a fully accessible building. Assistive listening and UbiDuo devices are available if you need help communicating with staff at the desk. Service animals may go wherever pedestrians are allowed. Our park brochure is available in two alternative formats: braille and audio description only. The walkway from the parking lot to the visitor center is approximately 130 yards. If this too far, we can loan you a wheelchair on a first come, first served basis. Call the front desk at (440) 717-3890 from the parking lot and we’ll bring it out to you.
