Thing to Do
Listen to the Lion's Storyteller Audio Tour

This award winning tour explores the stories of the people who once lived at this plantation. Their struggles, hopes, fears, and legacies are performed for an immersive experience. The name is a reference to an African proverb "Until the lion learns to speak, the hunter will always have the best part." This tour seeks to give a voice to the enslaved at Kingsley Plantation and tell their part.
This free experience is available to be checked out at the Kingsley Plantation visitor center. To start, go to the visitor center and click this link. The tour is predominantly outdoors so prepare for the weather (best enjoyed in the morning during summer months).
