From our ample green spaces to our sunny meadows, Fort Vancouver National Historic Site is the perfect place to play! A playground located behind the Fort Vancouver Visitor Center and its surrounding picnic tables are a great place for a family picnic. The Great Meadow nearby is a perfect place to play catch, toss a frisbee, or just run around.
Remember these rules while playing at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site:
Park grounds are open from dawn to dusk. Parking lots are open from 9 am to 4 pm (Labor Day - Memorial Day) or 9 am to 5 pm (Memorial Day - Labor Day). Vehicles must be removed from parking lots before the gates are closed. Street parking is also available. Check here for updated operating hours and seasons.
Remember these rules while playing at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site:
- The playground is designed for children ages 5-12. Adult supervision is required.
- Recreation structures or games that require stakes are prohibited (for example: volleyball nets).

The Playground behind the Visitor Center is accessed by crossing a grassy area with a downward slope behind the park's Visitor Center. Please watch your step for uneven ground, and any debris that might have fallen from nearby trees like twigs, branches, and pinecones. Accessible parking is available at the Visitor Center parking lot.
