Thing to Do
Families, Farming, and Freedom Tour
Hampton was, first and foremost, a plantation. This tour explores the farm side of Hampton and the role it played in plantation life. Park Rangers will guide visitors around the grounds of Hampton's farm buildings and give voice to the enslaved African Americans and European indentured servants who made the Ridgelys' lavish lifestyle possible.
