Thing to Do
Be a Cedar Creek & Belle Grove Junior Ranger
The Junior Ranger program helps kids explore, learn about, and protect Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park. Anyone can become a Junior Ranger by completing activities during a visit to the park.
How to Be a Junior Ranger
There are three ways to become a Junior Ranger at Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park:
- Come to the Visitor Center and ask a park ranger for a free Junior Ranger booklet.
- From home, you can use the online Junior Ranger program.
- E-mail us and we can mail you a Junior Ranger booklet.
The activities are designed for children and adults of all ages.
Complete as many activities as you would like. They can be completed in the park or even online.
Follow the activity instructions in the booklet. When the activities are complete, return to the Visitor Center to receive your official Junior Ranger badge for Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park.
The Junior Ranger program is made for all ages.
Get a free Junior Ranger booklet from the Visitor Center or visit the online Junior Ranger program.
When reviewing the booklet, park rangers will be flexible if sites are closed, or if no ranger programs are scheduled during your visit.
If you complete the booklet after closing time, mail it to the park for a ranger to review. The ranger will send your badge in the mail.
