The landscape around Longfellow House-Washington's Headquarters has inspired artists for generations. How will the Longfellow landscape inspire you?
Bring your own preferred supplies for plein air painting or drawing anytime the grounds are open, dawn till dusk year round.

Pets are welcome on the majority of the outdoor grounds. Pets are prohibited, however, from entering the formal garden and the house itself. Federal law requires that dogs remain on leash at all times.
The site has art materials available during Visitor Center hours of the open season, weather and staffing depending.
The grounds are accessed by a set of stone dust paths. The front gate path has several stone steps from the street level. The driveway entrance (to the left when facing the house) provides wheelchair access to the buildings and garden paths.
Accessible parking spaces are located at the end of the driveway, in front of the Carriage House and next to the visitor center entrance.
