Are your students confused about the differences between the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution? This activity - appropriate as a stand alone activity or as part of a larger unit of study on the American Revolution - uses cards and collaboration to encourage the students to identify the main ideas in the documents. Working individually or in pairs, students will analyze the information on their "task card" and then physically move to the space corresponding to Declaration or Constitution.

Planning a field trip to the park? You can print out the cards and "play" the activity outdoors in the park before or after your Independence Hall tour.
