Overview:

All distance learning programs will cover what is a national park and how national parks work to protect natural and cultural resources for us and future generations to come. Each program is designed to be engaging for participants and can be adapted for different age ranges. 

In this lesson, haumana (students) will learn what a botanist, ornithologist, and entomologist are and what they do, what adaptation is and how Hawaiʻi native Honeycreepers adapted to fill unique niches in the environment.
