Sunset Crater Volcano Visitor Center

The Sunset Crater Volcano Visitor Center includes a museum, WNPA park store, park film, and restroom facilities. The building features architecture from the Mission 66 era. Park rangers are present, passes are available for purchase, and Junior Ranger activities are available.

Directions

From U.S. Highway 89, turn east onto Sunset Crater Wupatki Loop Rd.(FS 545) between mile markers 430 and 431. Drive two miles (3 km), and the visitor center is located on the right.

• Every Day:9:00 AM–4:30 PM

The visitor center is open from 9:00 AM- 4:30 PM, with exceptions for extreme weather conditions and select holidays.
