Guidance for Youth Summits in history and historic preservation is available from Teaching with Historic Places via the Cultural Resources Youth Summit website or the National Park Service Historic Preservation website.

Youth Summits benefit middle school and high school aged students, educators, and community leaders by providing opportunities to participate in activities, discussions, and projects related to history, historic preservation, and heritage tourism in their communities. These events inspire young and old alike, encouraging youth to get involved and providing veteran preservationists with new, fresh perspectives.
