NPS Mini-Campaigns

In 2018, the National Park Service and our partners will engage in a series of “snack-size” mini-campaigns that allow us to explore some unique moments in 2018. Parks, programs, and partners may not choose to engage with all of them, but we hope you will see something in the list that you can explore—challenge your creativity!

#WeAreParks

Kicking off December 2017
The National Park Foundation, the official nonprofit partner to the National Park Service, is celebrating its 50th year in 2018, kicking off on December 18, 2017 (the actual 50th anniversary of when Congress chartered the organization for the NPS). Help celebrate by sharing examples of how NPF has supported your park and/or program!

#SportsInParks

January–February 2018
As international athletes gather in South Korea this winter, how do you explore the joy of sport, spirit of competition, and fair play in your favorite park?

#FindYourPark #AfterDark (#StarrySkies)

April 2018
As we celebrate National Park Week and International Dark Sky Week, let’s look at what happens in park skies when the sun goes down. What goes on in the dark? This theme is also the NPS message for the month of April!

#GoFishingInParks

June 2018
Go Fishing Day is June 18. Whether you’re just beginning, or an accomplished angler, parks and public lands are often great places to get out and Find Your Park!

#PirateParks

September 2018
The sea that gives coastal parks their unique character also made those places vulnerable to piracy and privateers. It also makes them vulnerable to the severe weather that has devastated so many of them. How have these places dealt with these challenges over time?

#FindYourWay -- the Rivers & Trails 50th!

September–October 2018
#FindYourWay to the 50th anniversary of the National Trails System and Wild & Scenic Rivers! The National Park Foundation has a #FindYourWay toolkit that parks and partners can use. There are also individual toolkits for the National Wild & Scenic Rivers System and the National Trails System.

#ParkPartners

December 2018
There are so many great park partners! Let’s celebrate the important work they do to support our nation’s parks and public lands!
