Spring Season

Spring is a time of rebirth often bringing warmer temperatures, new life, and dramatic splashes of every imaginable color in nature. With the end of the cold winter season, many of us venture out to play in the great outdoors. Cultures and communities across the country partake in springtime traditions, some passed through generations and shared with each other in national parks.

Experience the spring season in national parks or in your own community with opportunities through our programs and partners. Or stay connected with parks virtually through the season, including on social media using #FindYourPark or #EncuentraTuParque.

The Power of Parks for Health

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the partnership between the National Park Service and the US Public Health Service, we are encouraging everyone to explore the power of parks for health all year. During spring, consider how national parks and outdoor spaces in your community can transform your personal physical and mental health. Try a new activity, learn the health benefits of being outside, set goals for long term health, find new places to play outdoors, and discover many other ways you can transform your health.
