Feel the need to stay “parked” at home? The National Park Service (NPS) and our partner the National Park Foundation (NPF) challenge you to test your knowledge or learn a little more about parks with a series of games and activities. More will be added to this page, so remember to check back for more fun.

Find games and challenges on official NPS social media channels and NPF social media channels throughout 2020. Also consider becoming an Online Junior Ranger and maybe even earn virtual Junior Ranger badges!

    Suffrage Cat is part of the National Park Service’s celebration of the 19th Amendment. 2020 marks the centennial (100th anniversary) of the amendment! It was an important addition to our constitution as it recognized women’s voting rights. Suffrage means the right to vote in political elections.

  • Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument

    Draw Your Own Big Stump Face Challenge

    Florissant Fossil Beds protects some of the largest petrified tree stumps in the world by diameter. During the 1800s, people tried to saw the park's famous Big Stump into pieces. If you look close enough, you can make out a grumpy face on the Big Stump. Use templates to decorate Big Stump as your own artistic masterpiece without causing damage to these protected resources.

    Exhale Like a Whale

    Take a breath while making some art! Download the "Exhale Like a Whale" activity sheet. Learn about gray whales and their migration patterns. Color in the activity sheet and use it as a mindfulness tool when you need to take a breath and slow down.

Each picture inside the arrowhead represents something that is protected in a National Park site. Students learn how the design of the National Park Service arrowhead is made up of symbols and then have a chance to create their own design.

    In 1911 architects from around the US entered a competition to design the Memorial that became Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial. Now it is your turn. So, gather your supplies, pencils, pens, crayons, clay, cardboard, or whatever you chose and make a design for what you think the Memorial should look like.
