The National Park Service invites you to participate in developing a new National Historic Landmark Theme Study for the earliest archaeological sites in Alaska. The goal is to provide a context and comparison of archaeological sites associated with a specific area of American heritage -- the migration and settlement of North America 10,000 years ago and earlier. The theme study will be released as a book and on the web in 2021.
We welcome comments, suggestions, and discussion of Alaska's early archaeology with community members, independent scholars, and the academic community. Please contact us.
