    Valles Caldera National Preserve: Connected, intact landscapes are vital for movements and survival of animal and plant populations. A loss of connectivity, such as from highways and other human developments, can effectively reduce the size and quality of available habitats and disrupt needed movements. The Natural Resource Condition Assessment Program and its partners evaluated the condition of landscape connectivity at the preserve. Find out what we learned.
