H.R. 4577 –directs the acquisition of Saddleback Mountain on the Appalachian Trail for $4 million and requires that part of the land be conveyed to the State of Maine (included in the Consolidated Appropriations Act for FY 2001) –P.L. 106-554.

H.R. 4577 –requires NPS to extend the agreement until March 31, 2001 for the seven campsite leases in Biscayne NP known as "Stiltsville" (included in the Consolidated Appropriations Act for FY 2001) –P.L. 106-554.

H.R. 4577 –authorizes NPS to make a grant to the city of St. Paul, MN to acquire the land in Lower Phalen Creek in the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area, which will be used as a trail dedicated to the late Rep. Land Exchanges:

H.R. 149 –clarifies legal description of land to be conveyed by the Secretary in an exchange with the State of Utah involving an expansion of Arches National Park (included in the Omnibus Parks Technical Corrections Act) - P.L. 106-176.

S. 1705 –authorizes an exchange of lands between the City of Rocks NR, Hagerman Fossil Beds NM, and the State of Idaho –P.L. 106-421.

H.R. 4835 –authorizes a land exchange between the CIA and the NPS at George Washington Parkway, VA –P.L. 106-412.

Fee authority:

H.R. 3194 –increases administrative costs to implement the national park passport from 10 to 15 percent (included in Department of the Interior Appropriations Act for FY 2000) - P.L. 106-113.

H.R. 149 –authorizes the Park Service to retain and expend fees from non-recreational fee demonstration parks;and increases administrative costs to implement the national park passport from 10 to 15 percent—this same change was included in P.L. 106-113 (both authorizations were included in the Omnibus Parks Technical Corrections Act ) ––P.L. 106-176.

H.R. 4578 –extends the Recreational Fee Demonstration Program through September 30, 2002 (included in Department of the Interior Appropriations Act for FY 2001) –P.L. 106-291.

Concessions authority:

H.R. 4578 –allows transfer of the historic right of entry of a Glacier Bay cruise ship concessioner to the new owner of the business (included in Department of the Interior Appropriations Act for FY 2001) –P.L. 106-291.

H.R. 4577 –directs NPS to work with Ft. Sumter Tours on an amicable solution to concessions contract dispute while extending contract through March 15, 2001 (included in the Consolidated Appropriations Act for FY 2001) –P.L. 106-554.

Historic preservation:

H.R. 834 –reauthorizes the Historic Preservation Fund and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation –P.L. 106-208.

H.R. 4613 –authorizes the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Program –P.L. 106-355.

S. 2749 –establishes the Crossroads of the West Historic District in Ogden, UT (included in the California Trail Interpretive Act) –P.L. 106-577.

Natural resource authorities:

H.R. 1141 –addresses fishing in Glacier Bay National Park (included in Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act) - P.L. 106-31.

Native Americans:

H.R. 4425 –allows members of the Pueblo of San Ildefonso and the Pueblo of Santa Clara to collect plants and mineral resources within Bandelier NM, NM (included in the Military Construction Appropriations Act) - P.L. 106-246.
