Hilario Valenzuela, known as “The Yaqui,” received bone needles from the Lone Woman in 1853 while on San Nicolas Island, according to Fernando Librado. Librado told J.P. Harrington that Melquiades and Valenzuela met the Lone Woman and she gave Valenzuela some “trinkets.” Librado saw the bone needles that Valenzuela received from the Lone Woman but did not know what Valenzuela did with them.
