Heritage Documentation Programs (HDP) has a staff of professional architects, photographers, and historians that execute documentation projects on behalf of the National Park Service, federal and state agencies, and private institutions and organizations. HDP staff are recognized experts in the field of documentation and are at the forefront of adopting modern technology and applying it to preservation projects. In addition to contributing to the breadth and diversity of the HABS/HAER/HALS Collection, HDP projects allow staff members to field test new technologies and approaches to documentation.
