The National Park Service (NPS) Inventory and Monitoring Division consists of 32 networks across the NPS. Staff gathers and analyzes information on specific natural resources—the plants, animals, and ecosystems that can indicate the overall biological health of parks. As our climate changes, this research has broad application both inside and outside of national parks.
