Permits & Reservations

Backcountry camping is available on the mainland at White Pine Campground; on South Manitou Island at Bay, Weather Station, and Popple Campgrounds; and on North Manitou Island at the Village Campground and dispersed around the island. A backcountry camping permit is required. You may obtain a permit at the visitor center, campground offices, or Leland dock. Camping Fees and Reservations
