Below are two options for viewing the new interpretive park film, "Water, Sand, and Sky."

These versions are designed for viewing online and on mobile devices. To see it on the big screen attend a film premiere or, starting April 24th, visit the Philip A. Hart Visitor Center in Empire.

1. The first video is a 55 minute film that includes:

an introduction to the new film by NPS staff
"Water, Sand, and Sky"
a question and answer session with staff
Six digital shorts about the Lakeshore
credits of all those involved

2. The second film is the stand-alone version of "Water, Sand, and Sky". This film will also be available for viewing in the Philip A. Hart Visitor Center in Empire starting April 24th.

Film Premiere

This 55 minute film includes: an introduction to the new film by NPS staff, the 26 minute film, a question and answer session with staff, and 6 digital shorts about the Lakeshore. Select the AD function for an audio described version that includes open captions.

Water, Sand, and Sky

Water, Sand, and Sky explores the stunning landscapes, rich biodiversity, and captivating history of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. This 71,199-acre national park hugs the northeast shore of Lake Michigan, where miles of sand beach, towering bluffs, lush forests, and clear inland lakes, make up the natural world and provide the setting for a rich human history. Sleeping Bear Dunes is part of the world’s largest freshwater dune ecosystem.
