43d ILLINOIS INFANTRY,
Raith's (3d) Brig., McClernand's (1st) Div.,
ARMY OF THE TENNESSEE.
This regiment reformed here at 11.30 a.m. April 6,
1862 and advanced, fighting, 600 yards. At 2 p.m. It
fell back to this place and soon after retired to
Savannah Road.
