Visitor Centers

There are 3 visitor centers along the 54-mile march route. At this time the Selma Interpretive Center is closed for renovations, but our Lowndes Interpretive Center and Montgomery Interpretive Center are both open during regular operating hours (found below).

Rangers regularly give short orientation talks to groups upon request, which can be tailored to visiting groups’ needs and knowledge levels. Families, churches, school groups, universities, and tour buses are welcome. Talks vary from site to site, but focus on the important context, people, places, and events of the march, and are typically 5-10 minutes long. You may schedule your group’s arrival ahead of time by calling a visitor center or using the link below:
