What is Art in the Park Camp?Art in the Park Camp is a 3-day educational, recreational, and creative program for Tucson youth, taking place at Saguaro National Park's Rincon Mountain District (East). Each day we'll explore a different aspect of the park's story and connect it with creative media. For example, we may learn about how fire behaves in the Sonoran Desert and then practice charcoal sketching. Or we may hoist a camera 40 feet in the air to document saguaro flowers and fruit and then learn the principles of photography. Participants can expect to play with paint, ceramics, textiles, and more! Who Can Join?Participants must be age 7 to 10 years old and reside in Tucson, Arizona or surrounding Pima County. All abilities and experience levels are welcome! How Much Does It Cost to Participate? Not a thing, thanks to support from the Friends of Saguaro National Park.
