SAN FRANCISCO – San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park is unveiling new hours of operation.
Hyde Street Pier will be open Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m beginning Jan. 2, 2024. This change is due to ongoing vessel maintenance and extreme tide events.
The historical park’s visitor center located at the west end of Fisherman’s Wharf at 499 Jefferson St will now be open 1 - 5 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekends. Be sure to leave enough time to visit the exhibits or start the Junior Ranger Program!
The Maritime Museum’s operating hours will remain 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Wednesdays through Sundays. While enjoying the views of Aquatic Park Cove from this indoor venue at 900 Beach St., view Kenichi Horie’s Mermaid on exhibit, or the 15-minute film Palace for the People, an excerpt from the full-length documentary A Balcony on the World.
San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park offers visitors the sights, sounds, smells and stories of Pacific Coast maritime history. The park uses a fleet of National Historic Landmark vessels, over 100 historic small craft, a six million item museum collection, a visitor center, and a public research center to preserve and chronicle the lives of people who made their living on America’s maritime frontier.
