Please read our question of the season and feel free to answer.We have a whiteboard in the Saint Croix Island International Historic Site visitor center where we pose a question each season and give visitors sticky notes to leave an answer, if they like. We know not everyone can get to our park in Downeast Maine, but you can still take part in our activities. We will post our question here each season and if you would like to provide an answer feel free to call us at 207-454-3871 anytime and if we are not here then just leave a message or email us. Summer 2025Our question:"When the French came to the Saint Croix River there were many things they did not know about where they were going -- weather, farming conditions, the language, etc. If you were going to travel for the first time to a place you knew nothing about, what ONE thing would you want to know to make your travel easier?"
