The winner of seven academy awards, this story is based on actual events and tells the story maintaining dignity and finding purpose in the most difficult of circumstances.

The English Patient (1996)

The winner of three Academy Awards, this film tells the story of a nurse treating a badly-burned man near the end of WWII where she learns his story and learns to heal her own scars as she helps her patient.
