Rocky Mountain National Park acknowledges exceptional park partners and collaborators who have significantly contributed to the effective management of the park through research, science, and collaboration. These individuals are selected through a winter call for nominations and are celebrated bi-annually at the Rocky Mountain National Park Biennial Research Conference.

The awards are presented in three categories:

  • The Community Science Award recognizes community science projects or individuals who have made substantial contributions to public engagement in science and have helped to address management-related issues through public data collection.

  • The Partnership Award recognizes organizations that have made a substantial contribution to the management of Rocky Mountain National Park through collaboration, knowledge-sharing, support and/or co-production of science and research.

  • The Stewardship Award recognizes individuals who have made long-lasting, impactful, and significant contributions to helping resolve critical management questions or challenges while demonstrating a commitment to the National Park Service mission and core values.
