This 9 minute film tells the story of the 1864 capture of Fort Harrison by Union forces, including elements of the United States Colored Troops (USCTs), as well as detailing the efforts to preserve the site - the first unit of Richmond National Battlefield Park. The Battles for RichmondUnion and Confederate armies fought near richmond twice, in 1862 and again in 1864.
