Enjoy Tumacácori National Historical Park, Tubac Presidio State Historic Park, the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail, and the free shuttle which runs until 1:00 p.m. The route between Tumacácori and Tubac is a beautiful way to get your 10,000 steps. Participants who complete the route between Tumacácori and Tubac will also earn their free "I Hike For Health" pin.
October's hike commemorates the 50th anniversary of the National Trails Act and the establishment of the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail.
April's hike celebrates Park Rx Day, the last day of National Park Week, when everyone is encouraged to get outside to exercise.
The four mile stretch of Anza Trail is mostly level and shady. Wear good walking shoes, dress for the weather, and carry water and snacks.
