  • 09/11/2018 Location: Shiloh National Military Park, Time: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Fee Information: FREE Contact Phone Number: 731-689-5696 and 662-287-9273
On Tuesday, September 11, 2018, eveyone is invited to the Shiloh and Corinth battlefields for a day of remembrance. Visitors will join park rangers in placing American flags around the flag poles in front of the park's Visitor Centers honoring those killed in the terror attacks of 9/11.

Almost 3,000 people were killed on September 11, 2001, a tragic day, which remains the single largest terrorist attack on American soil. In addition to those United States citizens and military personnel lost, more than 90 other countries had citizens perish in the attacks.

"On this, the 17th anniversary of the terror attacks, it is appropriate that we take time to reflect on the events of the day and those who perished. We invite everyone to come to the park and place a flag in solemn remembrance," said Superintendent Dale Wilkerson.

Flags will be provided by the park and available at the Visitor Center front desk from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
