New Recruit Application for Spy Camp: Applications are closed for 2020 sessions
Cadre in Training (CIT) Application: OPEN
CIT's will be a valuable asset to the success of Spy Camp. These slots are open to individuals who have attended Spy Camp as a recruit, but would enjoy returning to continue the challenge and help others. Three CIT's will be selected for each camp date. Selection will be by random draw. To be eligable for selection; must have attended Spy Camp as a recruit and must not be over the age of 16. Applications are due by midnight May 2, 2020. After filling in the form, please save the file before attaching, it does not autosave on the file.
Who May Apply?
Spy Camp is for students in 4th to 7th grade or 9 to 12 years old.
We offer a CIT program for those who have attending a previous camp and wish to serve as a mentor/leader for new recruits. This program is for 10 to 18 years old and must have attend Spy Camp as a recruit.
How are Recruit's Selected?
Spy Camp is a very popular program at Prince William Forest Park. We receive a large volume of applicants with only 60 total participants. New recruits who have never attended will have priority during the selection process. Applicants are selected based on when the application is received, first received first selected. It is recommended that if a specific camp date is desired that the application be submitted as soon as possible. There will be a wait list in the event of a selected recruit not being able to attend.
What is the Cost?
Spy Camp is FREE. The historic use of Prince William Forest Park (Chopawamsic Recreational Demonstration Area) is to provide a summer camp experience for youth. We are returning some of that history to this program.
What do Selected Recruit's need to bring?
All training materials will be provided. Each recruit will receive a Spy Camp T-shirt, neck lanyard and name badge.
Each recruit will need to bring their own lunch, snacks, and any special drinks. Water and lemonade will be provided.
