Fees & Reservations

Open: first of March to end of November
Camping fees are charged per night:
$26 - per site, per night
$13 - per site, per night - for Senior/Access pass holders


Reservations must be made at Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. A park entrance fee is required in addition to camping fees.

Amenities

Each site has a picnic table, paved parking pad, grill and lantern post. Each loop has restrooms featuring sinks and flush toilets and the "B" loop restroom has showers. Evening campfire talks are sometimes offered during summer weekend evenings at the centrally located amphitheater. Check the bulletin boards near the restrooms for the latest schedule. Restrooms are accessible to most with assistance.

Camping Limitations

Campsite capacity is a family unit or six people or less and three tents (or camping units) per site. Campers may stay no longer than a total of 14 days in a calendar year (January through December). Organized group camping is not permitted at Oak Ridge Campground. Campground permits may not be obtained by persons under 18 years of age. Group camping is available at Turkey Run Ridge Group Campground.

Title 36 of the Code of Federal Regulations and Superintendent's Compendium apply to the park. For further information on the campground, please contact the park's visitor center at 703-221-7181.

RV Length Limits

Trailers and fifth wheels are limited to up to 26 feet in length and 12 feet in height and motor homes up to 32 feet in length and 12 feet in height. Check out time is noon (12:00 p.m.). Hook-ups are not available. Full hook-ups are available at the concession-run Prince William Forest RV Campground, located three miles North on Route 234 off exit 152. Best sites to use for an RV or trailer:

  • A loop - A07, A09, A11, A12, A13, A16, A18, A20, A22, A23, A25, A26, A27, A28, A30, A32, A33, A34, A35, A36, A38, A40, and A42.
  • B loop - B01, B04, B07, B09, B12, B13, B16, B18, B19, B22, and B23.

Accessibility

Sites A23, A25, C32 and C33 have larger, accessible parking pads and wheelchair accessible picnic tables and fire grills. Sites B02 and B25 have larger, accessible parking pads. Reserve these sites for visitors with disabilities, unless there are no other sites available.
