Public Transportation

San Francisco Municipal Railway (Muni) serves the Presidio via the following bus lines:

43 - to Presidio Transit Center
28 - to Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center
29 - to Baker Beach
30 - to Presidio Tunnel Tops

The Presidio Trust provides free transportation to and from downtown San Francisco as well as around the park itself. All shuttles include wheelchair ramps and bike racks.

Downtown Route: Departs from Beale Street near Mission Street and stops near Embarcadero BART Station at Drumm and California and Union Street/Van Ness Avenue before arriving at the Presidio Transit Center. Ride time varies with traffic but usually lasts around 30 minutes. Operates weekdays from 5:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

South Hills Route: Departs from the Presidio Transit Center and passes Inspiration Point, Rob Hill Campground, Baker Beach and Mountain Lake. This 30-minute loop operates weekdays from 6:00 am to 7:30 pm and weekends from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
