Description

On Saturday, October 26, Shiloh National Military Park will host the Chickasaw Heritage Festival at the Shiloh Indian Mounds National Historic Landmark, located on Shiloh battlefield.

Here is the schedule of events:

9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. –Area is Open to Public: Located in Cloud Field between Tour Stops #17 and #18. The public is invited to visit the area and speak to members of the Chickasaw Nation.

9:30 a.m.  Archaeology; Pottery; Prehistoric Weapons & Tools

10:00 a.m. Stomp Dance

10:30 a.m. Archaeology; Pottery; Prehistoric Weapons & Tools

11:00 a.m. Stickball

11:30 a.m. Chickasaw Language

12:00 p.m. Storytelling

12:30 p.m. Stickball

1:00 p.m Archeology; Pottery; Prehistoric Weapons & Tools

1:30 p.m. Traditional Flute Musical Presentation

2:00 p.m. Stomp Dance

*Visitors my visit with Archaeology, Pottery, and Prehistoric Weapons and Tools throughout the day in additon to the scheduled times.
