Description
Take your best friend for a hike on Cockspur Island. If you don’t have one, Coastal Pet Rescue will be bringing rescue dogs in need of a good walk and a forever home. Woof, woof!
Participants meet at 9:45am in front of the Visitor Center. The hike will take about 2 hours as we saunter along the marsh and talk about plants, wildlife, and how we as visitors can do our part to minimize our impact on this rugged yet fragile ecosystem.
Park Entrance fee or valid park pass required
All dogs must be on a 6ft leash at all times
Bring water for you and your dog
Wear comfortable hiking shoes
Bug spray and sunscreen are suggested
Owner is responsible for picking up after their dog
