Scenic View/Photo Spot

Slacker Ridge involves a short but steep hike to amazing views! At 930 feet above sea level, Slacker Ridge offers stunning views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge and is generally less crowded than the other scenic vistas. From the Golden Gate Bridge, the hike is a little over a mile one way. From the roundabout on Conzelman Road, it is only about half of a mile.

Tips & Highlights:

  • Gravel can be slippery or loose. Walk slowly and wear shoes with good tread.

  • Parking can be crowded. You can parallel park along Conzelman Road or park at Fort Baker.

  • August – November is raptor season! Bring binoculars to spot birds of prey soaring over Slacker Ridge.
