Located in historic downtown Seaford, Delaware, just steps from the Nanticoke River, the Seaford Museum offers a deep dive into the region’s rich history and its lasting connections to the Chesapeake Bay. Recognized as one of Delaware’s best small museums (Delaware Today), this engaging site takes visitors on a journey from the area's earliest inhabitants to the modern era.

The museum’s extensive collection includes artifacts and exhibits highlighting key aspects of Seaford’s past, from Harriet Tubman’s Underground Railroad connections to the town’s maritime heritage. The Nanticoke Maritime Gallery immerses visitors in waterfront life from a century ago, featuring interactive displays on oyster shucking, shipbuilding, and riverboat navigation. Additional hands-on exhibits throughout the museum encourage guests to turn knobs, push buttons, and listen to stories of the past.
