The Junior Ranger program at Pea Ridge National Military Park is a great way to introduce all ages to the history of the battle and natural wonders of the Ozarks.
The park has two versions of the Junior Ranger booklet, a booklet for ages 4-9 and one for ages 10-18. A small, wooden badge is awarded to those who complete as much of the booklet as possible. Rangers are looking for both effort and completion in awarding badges. Children and adults can benefit by learning more about the park and sharing the fun of becoming a Junior Ranger.
After completing the age-appropriate booklet, participants can mail or bring the booklet to a ranger at the park visitor center. In-person participants will be asked to recite the Junior Ranger pledge and will be awarded their new Junior Ranger badge.
If a Junior Ranger booklet is requested by mail, please allow 2 to 4 weeks for the booklet to arrive.
If you would like your completed Junior Ranger booklet signed and returned by mail:
1. Print your name, e-mail and mailing address on the back of the Junior Ranger booklet.
2. Mail your completed Junior Ranger booklet to:
