William Bolsinger worked as a roadmaster on the Allegheny Portage Railroad. He held this position for several years and later went on to work at Cambria Steel in Johnstown. He was known for his mechanical skills and was in charge of the car shops at Cambria Steel. 

His children were John, James W., Perry C., Elizabeth, Benjamin, Sturgean, George, Jennie, and Jessie S.
