PROTECTION OF CASA GRANDE RUIN PROTECTION OF CASA GRANDE RUIN 1889 CHAP. 411.—An act making appropriations for sundry civil expenses of the Government for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the following sums be, and the same are hereby, appropriated for the objects hereinafter expressed for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety, namely: UNDER THE INTERIOR DEPARTMENT. REPAIR OF THE RUIN OF CASA GRANDE, ARIZONA: To enable he Secretary of the Interior to repair and protect the ruin of Casa Grande, situate in Pinal County, near Florence, Arizona, two thousand dollars; and the President is authorized to reserve from settlement and sale the land on which said ruin is situated and so much of the public land adjacent thereto as in his judgement may be necessary for the protection of said ruin and of the ancient city of which it is a part. 50th Congress, Session II, Chapter 411, 1889.
