Preservation Planning Grants (PPG) are the American Battlefield Protection Program’s broadest, and most diverse, grant opportunity and support a variety of projects that are focused on the preservation and interpretation of sites of armed conflict, including battlefields and associated sites on American soil. Typical grant awards range from $20,000-$200,000, and do not require matching funds.
PPG applications are accepted on an annual basis, with the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO/FOA) open for between 60 to 90 days on grants.gov, and occurring near the middle of December to the middle of March.
