The Office of Policy helps carry out the National Park Service mission in these areas:

• We coordinate the preparation, analysis, review, and communication of NPS policies
• We administer the committee management program
• We support and staff the National Park System Advisory Board and the Advisory Committee on Reconciliation in Place Names
• We represent the NPS on the U.S. Board on Geographic Names
