Year-round and around the clock, we stand ready to support all sites across the National Park System. The special agents of the Investigative Services Branch (ISB) carry out complex, sensitive, and/or long-term investigations and law enforcement activities. Investigations include crimes of violence, substantial property crimes, major resource violations, and other incidents.
ISB personnel provide victim-witness support services, work closely with park rangers in the field every day, and serve on multi-agency task forces. ISB regularly collaborates with the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), Fire and Aviation Management, the US Park Police, and investigators of other agencies.

OPR conducts complete, objective, and independent investigations of alleged NPS law enforcement employee misconduct.

Fire and Aviation Management activities span across and support virtually every aspect of National Park Service protection and preservation

US Park Police are located in Washington DC, New York City, and San Francisco metropolitan areas.
