      The Historic Preservation Training Center (HPTC) of the National Park Service is dedicated to the safe preservation and maintenance of national park and partner facilities by demonstrating outstanding leadership, delivering quality preservation services, and providing preservation education.

      HPTC leverages its breadth of park projects to teach the guiding principles of historic preservation and trade and technical skills.

      We have three main branches:

      • Trades Services such as carpentry, masonry, and wood-crafting.
      • Technical Services such as architecture and project managment.
      • Learning Services with training programs in the fields of historic preservation, facilities maintenance, and facilities management.

      The Services We Provide
