The Northwest Arctic Heritage Center has more than just kids programs. Throughout the year, we offer programs for adults highlighting the cultural and natural significance of Northwest Alaska. In addition to our weekly film series, we host periodic events led by park rangers, researchers, guest experts and community members. Watch for programs like:

  • Lectures on projects and research being done in Noatak National Preserve;
  • Workshops on topics ranging from Inupiaq poetry to the medicinal uses of local plants;
  • Community outings like bird walks and archeological digs.

The schedule is variable, so check our Facebook page, or call us at (907) 442-3890 to see if we have an up-coming event. Whether you’re returning from a two-week float trip down the Noatak River, just visiting Kotzebue for a day or a life-long resident, we have something that will interest you.
