The Natchez Trace Parkway and the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail are two different national park units managed by the same officials. The Natchez Trace Parkway generally has shorter nature trails, and the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail has longer trails which are accessed from and protected by the Parkway. Below, we have divided the Parkway into sections and listed the trails for each section. Click on the section you are interested in to see a table of all trails in that section with distances and descriptions. You will find a complete PDF list of trails for the entire Parkway here. For emergencies call 911. Tell the dispatcher exactly where you are and that you are on the Natchez Trace Parkway. Jump to Individuals with Mobility NeedsTrails By Location
For Individuals with Mobility NeedsThe Parkway was designed in the 1930s and 40s. We are busy updating our trails to make them accessible to more people. In the mean time, if you download the trails list, or follow the links to trails by area, the information about each trail will indicate whether it meets ADA accessibility guidelines. It also lists which trails may be partially accessible. Most of our trails are fairly level with the exception of Jackson Falls, Fall Hollow, and portions of other trails. We have frequent blow downs blocking some trails. You may also find intermittent muddy spots, roots, and rocks. We are working on improving our descriptions of trails, so if you have any suggestions, please submit them here. Before you head out on a trail, please check the What’s Open What’s Closed page on our website www.nps.gov For emergencies call 911: tell the dispatcher exactly where you are and that you are on the Natchez Trace Parkway. Be Safe on the Trails.
