The National Mall and Memorial Parks is conducting temporary closures in support of Reflecting Pool Lining and Repair that allows the following: closure of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to clean the pool, repair joints, and install lining material. Closure shall occur in the following areas: · Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool; · Sidewalks adjacent to Reflecting Pool; and · Staging area at the JFK Hockey Fields, including intermittent access from the staging area across otherwise open sidewalks to the Reflecting Pool These closures, which commenced on April 10, 2026, shall remain in effect and continue until June 10, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Should the work be delayed, the closure period may be extended accordingly pursuant to subsequent record of determination. Conversely, if the work is completed prior to June 10, the closure will be lifted as soon as it can be safely accommodated. Violation is prohibited. A map illustrating the closed park area is attached. This temporary closure is necessary to protect the park’s natural and cultural resources during this project which will improve visitor experience. Any members of the public in the above areas should relocate immediately and remain out of the area until the closure is lifted.
